What you are buying

Full Access is a one-off in-app purchase for TheoryIQ, the UK driving theory revision app. It unlocks, for one person:

  • all licensed DVSA revision questions, with explanations, for car, motorcycle, LGV, PCV and ADI Part 1 (LGV and PCV share DVSA's combined lorry and bus question bank);
  • timed mock tests (50 questions in 57 minutes, the car and motorcycle format);
  • hazard perception practice clips, with TheoryIQ's own practice scoring (not DVSA marking); and
  • progress tracking by topic.

TheoryIQ is an independent app that uses revision questions licensed from DVSA. They help you learn the topics the test covers; the questions in your test will be different.

Price

The price shown in the app on the purchase screen, including VAT. At launch this is £4.99 in the UK. There are no other charges, and nothing renews. Apple or Google may show a price in your local currency if your store account is outside the UK.

How you pay

Through the Apple App Store or Google Play, using the payment method on your store account. Apple or Google processes the payment under its own terms. We never see your card details.

When you get it

Straight away. Full Access starts as soon as the store confirms your payment and we have checked it.

How long it lasts

It is a one-off payment, not a subscription. You keep Full Access for as long as we provide TheoryIQ, rather than for a fixed period, and it stays yours after you pass. If we ever close TheoryIQ, or have to remove a significant part of Full Access (for example because our DVSA licence ends), we will stop selling it and tell you as far in advance as we reasonably can. See our Terms of Use, section 8.

What you need

  • A TheoryIQ account (free, sign in with your email address).
  • An iPhone, iPad or Android device.
  • An internet connection to sign in, buy and load content.
  • Content protection: licensed content is delivered from our servers and protected, as our DVSA licence requires. Media saved on your device is encrypted and can only be used inside the app.

More than one device

Sign in with the same email address and Full Access works on your other devices, including on the other platform. Family Sharing is not available. One purchase covers one person.

Restoring a purchase

On the unlock screen, tap "Restore purchase" while signed in to your TheoryIQ account, on a device signed in to the store account you paid with.

Your right to cancel

The law usually gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content like Full Access, you lose that right once supply starts, but only if, before you bought:

  • you asked for access to start straight away; and
  • you confirmed you understood you would lose your right to cancel once it starts.

If you did not give that confirmation, or we did not confirm it to you afterwards in writing (for example by email), you keep your right to cancel for 14 days after the purchase. To cancel, email info@theoryiq.co.uk with your account email address and say you want to cancel.

Refunds through Apple and Google

Apple or Google takes the payment, so they handle most refunds:

  • iPhone and iPad (App Store): go to your Apple Account purchase history, or reportaproblem.apple.com (opens in a new tab), and request a refund. Apple handles App Store refunds directly.
  • Android (Google Play): Google Play's refund policy lets you request a refund through Google Play within 48 hours of purchase. After that, email us and we will look at your request.

Apple's and Google's own refund policies can be more generous than the law. If you are refunded, Full Access is removed from your account. Your progress stays.

If something is wrong

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything above. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If Full Access is faulty, we will repair or replace it. If we cannot, or cannot do so within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a full or partial refund. If you paid through the App Store and Apple does not refund you, we remain responsible for putting things right.

Prices can change

We may change the price of Full Access for new buyers. A price change never affects a purchase you have already made. You will not be asked to pay again.
