Is TheoryIQ official?
No. TheoryIQ is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by the DVSA. TheoryIQ uses Official DVSA licensed revision questions.
Are these the questions in the real theory test?
No. DVSA does not use its revision questions in the real test, but they cover the same topics. That is why every TheoryIQ answer comes with an explanation: learning the rule behind a question is what helps when the real test words it differently.
Which categories are covered?
Car, motorcycle, LGV (lorry), PCV (bus and coach) and ADI Part 1 for approved driving instructors. Full access includes all five.
Is £4.99 a subscription?
No. It is one in-app payment through the App Store or Google Play for lifetime access. There are no monthly charges and nothing renews.
Can I try it first?
Yes. The free tier lets you answer a set of licensed revision questions, with explanations, before you pay. Mock tests and hazard perception clips are part of full access.
What does a mock test include?
50 questions with a 57-minute timer and a pass mark of 43, the same as the real car and motorcycle multiple-choice test. LGV, PCV and ADI Part 1 candidates sit a longer real test, so for them TheoryIQ mock tests are best used for topic and timing practice.
Is the hazard perception scoring the same as DVSA’s?
No. TheoryIQ’s practice clips score up to 5 points per hazard to help you learn when to respond, but the scoring is our own practice scoring, not DVSA’s marking.
When is the app available?
